Mac,
A researcher that has extensively used the electric seine in the past is
Dr. Paul Angermeier of Virginia Tech
(http://www.fw.vt.edu/fisheries/angermeier.htm; [log in to unmask];
540-231-4501). Paul came to Virginia from an association with the Illinois
Natural History survey so there's the connection with Dr. Larimore's work.
Paul also published this article:
Angermeier, PL, Smogor, RA, and SD Steele. 1991. An electric seine for
collecting fish in streams. North American Journal of Fisheries Management,
Vol. 11, no. 3, pp. 352-257.
Best Regards,
Alan
