Hello,

I am looking for an illustration, high contrast photograph to accompany the
write-up on the Saddled Bream, Oblada melanura,  report from the English
Channel.

This is  will go in the club magazine Glaucus

It will need to be received by EMail quickly. There is no fee, but if the
photograph or illustration is good enough to be used, I can send a free
copy of the journal. 

It may be necessary to confirm the identification sources, as the Editor
(i.e. me) has lots of trouble identifying the Sparidae.

Report:

A Saddled Bream, Oblada melanura, of 440 grams (15 oz 8 dr.) was caught
from St Austell Bay, Cornwall during August 2000. This was the first
reported catch of this species by an angler from UK waters. This species is
normally found in the Mediterranean and its usual northerly limit is off
the Biscay coast. This one was 31 cm long (max length of 35 cm).  
 
It was identified by experts at the National Marine Aquarium at Plymouth.
