No problem, Michelle
and its probably a good time to post this to the list.
There are two ways to leave
1) send an email message to
[log in to unmask]
and in the body of the message type
SIGNOFF FISH-SCI
(unsubscribe fish-sci works too, doesn't need to be capitalized)
2) Using a web browser go to the Fish-Sci archives
http://segate.sunet.se/archives/fish-sci.html
follow the link "join or leave the list"
type in your email address and click on the button "leave the list"
An email message will be sent to you and just reply "ok" to it.
That will do it. That same web page can also be used to rejoin the
list or change the terms of your subscription
No FAQ (yet), but there is a list of Listserv commands available that
can be useful to have. Its called the Reference Card and you can
retrieve it by sending an email to [log in to unmask]
with the command, INFO REFCARD , in the body of the message.
Just a couple of notes in general in case anyone is confused:
[log in to unmask] is the machine that runs the place,
[log in to unmask] , is everyone here - the list itself,
[log in to unmask] are the people (Bill Silvert,
Steve Gutreuter, and myself) who can be contacted in case there
are any problems, questions, flames, suggestions, ideas, or extra
donuts available.
The three of us are still in the process of learning the Listserv
software, and there are couple of new features which we will try to
introduce in the near future. Also we hope to get some type of FAQ-like
document out soon and make it accessible to new members as well as
current ones.
