POST-DOCTORAL POSITION AVAILABLE
One-year, post-doctoral position available immediately on project to
investigate patterns of connectivity in reef fish populations in
Mesoamerican Caribbean; possibility of renewal. Although knowledge of,
and experience in reef fish ecology an advantage, this position is
primarily for data-analysis and evaluation, and expertise in handling
large data sets and in statistics are essential. Project ECONAR has
compiled data on settlement/recruitment during summers of 2002, 2003, and
now 2004 at sites in Mexico, Belize and Roatan, and collected specimens of
several species for otolith chemistry and genetic analyses. A
hydrodynamic model has been developed. The person appointed will have a
major role in the integration of various kinds of data to produce
estimates of connectivity among sites. Based in Windsor ON Canada. Salary
