Chris/Larry,

I don't have a text to refer to but, I think it might spelled be Labeo
rohita.

Chris:
The confusion may be from spelling. I believe these 3 fish are cyprinids,
known in aquaculture as the "Indian carps"- my notes (from an undergraduate
class years ago) have these spellings:
Catla catla
Labeo rohito
Cirrhinas mrigala

My notes go on to say that these 3 fish are commonly grown in polyculture
ponds because they have different feeding strategies and don't directly
compete with one another.

Hope this helps

Larry Beerkircher
