Paris, France : 387 p. gives the major Indian carps :

Common Name             Latin Name              Feeding regime
Catla                   Catla catla             zooplankton
Rohu                    Labeo rohita            detritus, vegetation
Mrigal                  Cirrhinus mrigala       detritus, vegetation

For the Gulfam, I really don't know. Maybe the last major Indian carp :

Calbassu                Labeo calbassu          detritus
