<bold>District Fisheries Biologist</bold> (Job Code 320400)

Vermont Department of Fish & Wildlife

Roxbury, Vermont


<bold>Responsibilities:</bold> Planning, coordinating, and conducting technical work
and outreach activities to protect, restore, enhance and otherwise
manage fisheries resources, primarily in east central Vermont. Duties
include evaluation of fish populations, surveying stakeholders,
participation in environmental impact assessments, analysis of scientific
data and preparation of reports. Supervises technical, clerical, and
temporary employees.



<bold>Qualifications:</bold> Bachelor’s degree in fisheries management, fisheries
biology, or a closely related field, and two years experience at or above a
technical level in fisheries management or fisheries biology. Related
graduate work may be substituted for experience on a semester for six
months basis.


<bold>Salary</bold>: $598.40 weekly; $628.40 after successful completion of 6-month
probation
