Actually, that work was started by Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources
personnel (Brian Shuter, Jim MacLean), continued by Mark Ridgeway (Univ. of
Western Ontario, U. of T, OMNR), and then the U. of G. folks. There's quite
a long history of efforts on Opeongo.

A lot of work was done on Lake Opeango (sp?) at the university of Guelph
(sp?). They did radio telemetry and had video of smallmouth stacked in
their winter home range. Here is a reference on long distance stream
movement in the Fall;
