Hi All,
I was wondering if any fisheries agencies/researchers had estimates, or
working models, for the increased fishing efficiency associated with the
introduction of a new "hull" into a prawn (shrimp) fishery? I am not
interested in the efficiencies gained by the introduction of technologies
(sounders, GPS, motors etc) which can to some extent be fitted to old hulls,
but the increases associated with changes from wood to steel, new hull
designs or increases in vessel dimensions (keeping the same overall
under-deck dimensions).
Thanks in advance
