Research Assistant (M. S. Level).
This is a one or two-year Research Assistant position (depending on funding)
in the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences at the University of
Florida.
Minimum requirements are an M. S. degree with training in quantitative fish
population assessment and statistics. Specific duties are to assess
freshwater fish population dynamics using age-structured models and a
variety
of computer and statistical applications. The successful applicant will
also
plan and help carry out field sampling activities in support of state and
federal
contracts, and participate in the interpretation of data, writing of
research reports,
and peer-reviewed journal articles.
Closing Date: July 31, 2000
Preferred Start Date: during Fall 2000
Salary: $23,000 plus benefits
Availability of this position depends on award of a research grant.
