The Casco Bay Estuary Project is looking for a crew leader for a short-term project this summer for the U.S. EPA's Coastal 2000 program. We will be sampling approximately 35 stations from a captained EPA vessel. The crew leader will oversee 6 college students, be responsible for following a quality assurance plan and a field operations manual and provide regular updates to the project coordinator. Attention to detail and ability to work on the ocean is a must. All samples will be shipped to contract labs for analysis. There will be a one-week training session run by EPA late June and sampling will take approximately 6 weels starting mid-July.
QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate student in marine or environmental sciences or M.S. graduate or equivalent working experience desired.
Compensation is dependent upon the applicant’s qualifications.
