Request for Proposal - Remotely Operated Underwater Vehicle
General specifications:
Maximum weight(ROV only): 45 kg
Maximum size: 110 cm x 56 cm x 46 cm or less than 0.28m3
Safe working depth: 90 m minimum
Camera (NTSC): Option 1 - Provide an ROV with a removable low light camera for other customer applications. Camera depth rating should be 1000m minimum, over 500 lines resolution with a sensitivity better than 0.001 lux
Option 2 - Provide an ROV with no camera. Camera will be customer supplied.
Option 3 - Provide an ROV with standard camera
Camera tilt: 180 degrees minimum
Forward thrust: Greater than 10 kg variable
Additional payload: Greater than 2 kg
Umbilical: 13 mm or less in diameter, equivalent to safe working depth in length, connectors on both ends, 100 kg or greater breaking strength, weight in water less than 30 g/m
Lighting: Minimum of 2 @ 50W each
Video overlay: To include compass and depth data, as well as time and date.
Power requirements: 120VAC, maximum 1800W, GFI protection
The general application of the ROV is to record fish and fishing gear in nearshore environment. We would like ROV manufacturers to submit proposals regarding the ROV. Proposals will be evaluated based on several factors, most importantly ROV size, weight, safe working depth, camera type, and price.
