Hello to Everyone,
I am developing a "business plan" for the World Wildlife Fund. Similar to a
corporate business plan this will
direct the WWF on how they may most efficiently and effectively carry out their
mission statement in the
Great Lakes region of North America while addressing issues not currently in
the mandate of other conservation
organizations.

To accomplish this we need the assistance of experts from the Scientific Forum
on Fish and Fisheries. We hope to hear from individuals from around the globe.
Any input based on past experiences with conservation issues in freshwater
systems, especially systems that cross international borders, will be
appreciated.

We would be very grateful if you could provide input on this topic by answering
the question,

"Where do you feel the WWF could be best involved in the Great Lakes?"

To help you with your answer the Fund's mission statement is included at the
bottom of this message.
As we hope to contact a large number of experts like yourself could you also
suggest two other individuals, not on this forum, who may provide valuable
input to this question?
To save bandwidth, could you please send responses to my personal e-mail
address and not the entire list. I will then summarize and compile everyone's
comments and post these to the forum.
Thank you very much for your assistance in advance.
Best Regards,
Greg LeBreton, Ph.D.

WWF's Mission Statement:

WWF's mission is to stop the degradation of the planet's natural
environment and to build a future in
which humans live in harmony with nature, by:

1 conserving the world's biological diversity

2 ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources is sustainable

3 promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption
