In today's world, why would any institution  consider the PURCHASE of an ROV
when the technology for AUV's exist and is developing quite nicely at places
like the Massachusetts Institute of Technology?  I wonder, also, if
institutions are looking at the work of Graham Hawkes and his building of "
Deep Flight " a new concept in submarine transport.  Any tethered vehicle is
limited, why not support untethered technologies?
