Cooperative Research and Extension at the College of the Marshall
Islands is inviting applications for a Research Assistant in the field
of Atoll Aquaculture.
This position will be 100% in applied research, funded under Land Grant
Status, with the additional requirement that the successful candidate
will develop a program that includes seeking additional funding through
grants.
Qualifications include having a Ph.D. degree in aquaculture or a related
field from a U.S. institute or its equivalent and research/work
experience in the field. Candidates must be in good health, able to
work in small remote developing island communities and be willing to
focus on applied research. Benefits will include housing, limited
moving expenses, vacation and sick leave.
Applications should contain a letter of interest, Curriculum Vitae that
documents prior experience, publications and grants received, and names,
titles, phone numbers and email addresses of three references.
Candidates selected as finalist will be required to have official
transcripts sent from their respective degree conferring institutions.
