LECTURESHIP in MARINE ECOLOGY

The Leigh Marine Laboratory operating within the Faculty of
Science, University of Auckland, wishes to appoint a marine
ecologist. This is a tenure-track position. Preference will be given
to applicants with expertise in one or more of the following fields:
estuarine ecology, soft-bottom benthos, ecological modeling,
ecotoxicology.  Applicants must hold a doctoral qualification and
have the ability to teach broadly in these areas. The appointee will
be expected to supervise postgraduate research and have a
familiarity with interdisciplinary approaches to problem solving and
an understanding of linkages between land and sea.  The Leigh
Laboratory and its staff are an integral component of the teaching
and research programmes of many University departments,
particularly the School of Environmental and Marine Sciences
(SEMS) and the School of Biological Sciences (SBS).

The position will be based at the Leigh Marine Laboratory which is
situated on the north east coast of New Zealand about 100km north
