SEEKING FIELD TECHNICIANS TO AID WITH FISH/BENTHIC SURVEY
The Meadowlands Environmental Research Institute (MERI), a collaboration
between Rutgers University Center for Information Management, Integration &
Connectivity (CIMIC) and the Hackensack Meadowlands Development Commission
(HMDC), is seeking two field technicians to help perform a fishery and
benthic resource inventory of the lower Hackensack River and its major
tributaries, an estuary in northeastern New Jersey, USA. The two-year
study will be performed by a three-person team.
Job responsibilities include:
* Making field collections on a monthly basis
* Maintenance of samples collected during the study
* Sorting and identification of fish and benthic macroinvertebrate samples
* Maintenance/repair of fishing gear and other equipment
