Dean:

P. buchholzi should be available at your local aquarium shop under the
name "African Butterflyfish" or "Freshwater Butterflyfish." They're quite
common in the pet trade here in the states; I don't know if the trade in
Australia is similar.

As far as the aruanas you're looking for are concerned, they should be
available in the pet trade, too, although not in any great quantities. A
better solution might be to check with zoos and aquariums. The one
exception to this would be the one known as the "Silver Aruana" from South
America (you have it listed, but I can't for the life of me remember it's
scientific name; I apologize), which, if I remember correctly, has
recently been given a threatened or endangered status, so trade in these
fish is highly restricted, if it exists at all. The only place you could
come up with these fish, as far as I know, would be zoos or aquaria.

Hope this helps!

--Mike
