VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT: Post Doctoral Fellow

CATEGORY:  Non-tenure track term faculty

DESCRIPTION: The candidate will be part of a research program in  crab
physiology, moulting, reproduction, early development and growth.  The
objective of the program will be to develop biotechnologies to breed crabs,
close their life cycle in captivity, and grow them to commercial size. The
candidate's research should emphasize both basic and applied research
aspects. The candidate will be actively involved in initiating and
coordinating the crab research program, including facility design,
oversight, and maintenance. Publication of research in peer-reviewed
journals is expected. Collaboration with peers and co-investigators is
essential. This is a salaried position with expected routine hours exceeding
40 hours per week. Routine evening and weekend work, as well as extensive
work with animals is required.

QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should possess a PhD in the area of crab or
crustacean physiology or related field. The candidate must have experience
maintaining, handling and reproducing crabs.

SALARY: Commensurate with experience

BENEFITS:  22 days vacation, 3 personal days, 14 paid holidays, health
