The GLCMS announced today the upgrading of its web site on the World Wide
Web. The site now features information about the founding of the GLCMS, and
past and current projects, including "Fish for All: The Legacy of Lake
Michigan Fisheries Management and Policy."
Persons interested in the "Fish for All" projects can see images of the
exhibit, and some of the artifacts, photographs, and documents featured in
the exhibit. They can also hear portions of many of the oral history
interviews collected with tribal, sport, and commercial fishers and state
and federal government fisheries managers as well as view a QuickTime movie
collage of the many oral histories gathered for this project.
The GLCMS web site also includes information on researchers associated with
its projects both in the past and at present. Persons who wish to purchase
the GLCMS's poster which accompanies the "Fish for All" exhibit, can obtain
ordering information from the Web site.
The GLCMS web site was updated by doctoral associate Clay Johnson, who has
been working on the "Fish for All" team for the past year. Johnson developed
the site under the supervision of project co-director Kristin M. Szylvian,
Associate Professor of History.
