The Shubenacadie Grand Lake population in Nova Scotia (N 44o) is indeed a
wild population. No stocking of striped bass has been allowed in Canadian
waters. See the following publication:
Rulifson, R.A. and M.J. Dadswell. 1995. Life history and population
characteristics of striped bass in Atlantic Canada. Transaction of the
American Fisheries Society 124:447-507.
