CONSERVATION GENETICS POSTDOC is needed to conduct molecular systematics and population genetics research on selected fish and wildlife species. The position is a 13-month term (federal) appointment renewable to a total of 4 years service. This position is located in the Leetown Science Center in Leetown, West Virginia. The selectee will perform the following duties: 1) conduct detailed statistical analysis on DNA sequence data to elucidate molecular systematics of fish and wildlife species in need of taxonomic assessment; 2) perform statistical analyses on DNA fragment (mirosatellite) data to detect population structure among collections of fish and wildlife species to identify appropriate units of management; 3) write peer-reviewed publications and make presentations based on results of analyses and experiments at professional meetings.
