Hello,
I am the Executive Director of new Foundation, Marine Ventures Foundation. A
little of what our Foundation is about:
"The Marine Venture Foundation's (MVF's) goal is to fund leading edge
marine conservation efforts on a global basis. With a focus on marine
fisheries, the foundation seeks to fund research, field studies and
education that will have a significant impact on conservation of saltwater
species and their habitats.
The results from MVF funds should have significant impact on conservation
efforts for both economic and social policy. The fund seeks to fund high
impact, high risk projects that fundamentally enhance the ability to
understand, protect and enhance fish stocks in the saltwater and estuarine
ecosystems. The MVF will also consider funding freshwater projects as they
relate to ocean fishery stocks. "
We are starting this fund with $5 million. We are looking very quickly to
fund some projects with $10,000-$25,000 commitments in the next 3 months.
Large commitments can be made.
We are currently looking for people doing research on/ or who want to do
research on bonefish, permit and/or tarpon habitats, migrations patterns and
management practices on a global basis.
