The Request for Proposals for the Santa Monica Bay Restoration Grant Program is now available on line at www.smbay.org 

This is a solicitation for pre-proposals for innovative, cost-effective projects that will lead to the enhancement and restoration of Santa Monica Bay in Southern California.  Project categories include Pollution Control and Abatement; Habitat Restoration; and Assessment, Monitoring, Research and Education.  The deadline for submission of pre-proposals is February 28, 2001.

Funding available for this grant program is the result of passage of Proposition 12, the Safe Neighborhood Parks, Clean Water, Clean Air and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2000.
