Graduate Assistantships in Fisheries
The University of Hawaii Joint Institute for Marine and Atmospheric
Research is offering two graduate assistantships in fisheries: one in the
general area of fisheries oceanography and stock assessment; and one the
general area of economics and social science. Prospective students must be
qualified for admission to the University of Hawaii as candidates for the
Ph. D. degree in an appropriate field (oceanography, zoology, mathematics,
economics, anthropology, …) and be prepared to undertake research relevant
to the management fisheries for pelagic fishes. Interested students should
apply to an appropriate department and contact JIMAR on acceptance.
Benefits include a stipend plus tuition waiver.
