Dear Fish-friends
We are working on photoperiod, temperature and salinity control of sexual maduration of some snapper species (lutjanidae), evaluating sex steroids and calcium levels on fish plasma during a period of time. We are going to use 2-fenoxi-etanol (50-200ppm) as anesthesic. IŽll like to have some opinions and papers about this topic, the anesthesic selected has any effect on the determinations? All reports we have are from fresh water of temperate species.
