Subject: Quantifying fish color - summary

A few weeks ago, I asked a question on FISH-SCI on how to measure the orangeness of the two-spot goby. I also sent a similar question to several color management experts.

Many people have replied, for which I’m very thankful.
Apart from valuable comments from the people below, I have since then read quite a few papers on the subject.

Many people have requested a summary of what I found. Since the amount of information is substantial, I didn’t want to burden the entire FISH-SCI with it.

Instead I made a web-site, so that those interested can access the information there:

For meaningful comments, I want to especially thank:

Ed I Bremner, Patrick C. Brunner,
Hege Folkestad, Allen Gottesfeld,
Alan Hedge, Nicolas Holzschuch,
Lori Hosaka LaPlante, Richard Lord,
Vicki Martin Kier, Peter A. Nelson,
Hasan Orek, Jorge Palma,
Michael Robinson, Nitin Sampat,
William Silvert and Tracey Sutton
