RECRUITMENT FOR: Natural Resource Biologist I - Contractual Position
-Watershed Restoration Division
SALARY: $26,958 (No benefits)
CLOSING DATE: April 22, 2002
JOB DUTIES:
This position is in the Watershed Restoration Division of the Chesapeake and
Coastal Watershed Services, Department of
Natural Resources, Annapolis. This is an entry-level position that will
work with other natural resource professionals on
watershed assessment and stream restoration projects. Position is based in
Annapolis, Maryland; however, applicant will be
involved with fieldwork throughout the State.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
in the biology, biochemistry, environmental sciences
aquaculture, natural sciences, natural resources management, botany, marine
biology, marine ecology, physical oceanography,
ichthyology, fisheries management, wildlife management, zoology or a natural
resources related field of study. Professional
experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the required
degree. Candidates are considered without regard to

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Applicant must have a valid drivers license, and willing to work outdoors in
all types of weather. Job involves some strenuous fieldwork. Knowledge of
data base management and GIS is a plus.
