An Mai Thai,
In some coral reef areas there are huge numbers of lead sinkers littering
the reefs. Lead can affect organisms at thresholds that approach zero. If
local water chemistry allows dissolved lead at all, or toxic complexes of
lead, that could play a role in coral degradation.
I deal entirely with freshwater lead exposures, so I am not up on speciation
of lead in saltwater. Good luck.
