This message provides you with an update of recent and forthcoming IOBB
1) Call for Self-Nominations as National Representatives (deadline 30 Aug).
IOBB invites you to nominate yourself to represent your country as the IOBB
national representative. (please check http://www.iobbnet.org/org.html#natl to see
if your country has a national representive). The primary role and
responsibilities of a national respresentative (resident and citizen) are:
(a) to be the national and international point of contact for your country
(b) to keep IOBB informed of national and international activities in your country
(see more details in http://www.iobbnet.org/news/news04.html).
2) IOBB Internet facilities:
IOBB has improved Internet facilities significantly and now has its own domain
name with its website at http://www.iobbnet.org. In addition to IOBB's access to
some 20 LISTSERV mailing lists, IOBB has installed pmWIKI and DRUPAL which
together provide the platform for conducting e-forums, storage of images in image
galleries, your personal (we)blogs, space for document storage and joint writing.
WIKI and DRUPAL are available to all its "paying" members who are also provided
with a forwarding email address ([log in to unmask]) upon request.
3) A series of e-training sessions will be organized for IOBB members on the use
of www.iobbnet.org/drupal . The first e-session will be held on 31 Aug. If you are
not yet an IOBB member and wish to join this and forthcoming e-training, please
contact [log in to unmask] immediately.

solution to water collection, filtering and recycling"
(d) (Proposed November) : IOBB Special E-seminar on "Medicinal plant
biotechnology: it's role and link in integrated biosystems"
5) To IOBB members
www.iobbnet.org/drupal has a fully operational "Image Galleries" now. This space
enable you to share and upload images. There are now 42 images for the e-seminar
on "Waterharvesting : A landscaped solution to water collection, filtering and
recycling" . Please take a look at them.
