Information on the Annual IOBB membership fees in the recent update has
not been accurate . My apologies.
The annual membership fee for individuals is equivalent to 0,5 % of a
month's salary or income (after tax). So if you earn 2000 US$ after tax
per month, your annual IOBB membership fee for 2004 will be 10 US$.
(2000 x 0,5%).
(1) membership fees is not required if you only wish to view news and
announcements from IOBB (http://segate.sunet.se/archives/et-w5.html).
(2) However, payment of membership fee is essential if you wish to
participate in IOBB special activities. For example, in the forthcoming
activity is the e-seminar on "Plant biotechnology in the 21st century:
the challenges ahead" by Prof. Arie Altman (15-26 March 2004). See
(3) How to make payment
Please return Membership Fees 2004 form that is found in
[log in to unmask] . IOBB is in the process of identifying local
IOBB treasurers in each country to avoid difficulties and costs in
foreign exchange. The names of appointed persons will be indicated in
http://www.biotech.kth.se/iobb/member-2004.html. The local treasurer
will contact you with payment instructions.
