Dear list members
We are currently collecting some age structure data of dominant fish species
in coastal waters of Taiwan. However, we have encountered some difficults in
finding the otolith of dolphinfish for such a purpose. Based on the
literatures published, we know that otolith of this species is quite small
(0.26mm for a 110 cm fish), thus, is very difficulty to located it. I also
tried to cook the fish head before I could open it easily. But, I still
can't find the otolith. I just wondering whether anyone whom with similar
experiences could provide us some suggestions? Thanks in advance.
