E-symposium on Phytoremediation and Water Purification 
(Organizer: Kenneth Yongabi, IOBB Natl Representative, Nigeria) 
starts today (13 June-10 July) with two main activities 

(1) Discussion with the authors of 4 Papers 
(2) Panel Discussion on the following topics:
    * Research and co-operation on phyto-remediation 
      and use of biomaterials for water purification in Africa
    * Constraints and contemporary issues on phytoremediation 
      and water purification technologies in Africa
    * Biophilosophy and culture of using local plant materials 
      to clean water for daily needs in Africa.
