I find difficult is to retrieve past informations or to take up a
special discussion thread.

LISTSERV has a less advanced presentation of the discussion threads and
therefore IOBB launched its online webforum software in Aug 2004 to
tackle this problem and also to provide features such as images.

I encourage everyone to use the IOBB online webforums at

For current active webforums, see
(a) 'salt-contaminated land after the Tsunami'
(b) 'facultative lagoon system in Missouri, USA',

A very useful feature in IOBB webforums is that you can subscribe for
notification which are delivered by email to you. Subscription is very
advanced and provides you with selective choices.

Messages in a webforum are of two categories
(1) topics
(2) comments.

You can subscribe for notice on new topics ('category') and you will be
informed whenever a new topic is initiated in the webforum. You can also
separately subscribe for comments ('thread') on a particular topic of
your interest within a webforum. This is facilitated by advanced
'discussion threads' structure.

Please check out the IOBB webforum software.

In the near future, all public discussions and activities will be held
in IOBB webforums. LISTSERV email lists will only be used for closed
discussion groups. So start now and familiarise yourself in the use of
IOBB webforums which is powered by the Drupal software.

IOBB (Intl Org for Biotechnology and Bioengineering)
