There is an excellent species identification guide available on line. The guide includes invertebrates and fish species that have been identified from surveys conducted in the northeast Pacific Ocean and Bering Sea by scientists of the RACE Division, Alaska Fisheries Science Center conducted from 1961 to the present. The guide includes hundreds of high quality photos of the species. The photos are available to be used in publications with acknowledgments since they belong to the U. S. government and are in the public domain. The more species like sponges will be included as they become available in the future. The guide is available at:

It includes whole and parts of fish, sponges, soft corals, mollusks, marine mammals, and (freshwater) turtles. Our reference materials are very limited. We are seeking online resources and other that might help us identifying these specimens. I am aware of FishBase and other sites like it but for these other taxa would be of much help. We are also seeking professionals willing to identify photos that we can send to them. Your replies are much appreciated!
