AFS Symposium on fishing gear selectivity and survey gear performance -
Call for submissions
American Fisheries Society is sponsoring a symposium on "fishing gear
selectivity and survey gear performance" at its annual meeting in
Anchorage, Alaska, September 11 - 15, 2005. You are invited to submit
oral and poster presentation abstracts for review and inclusion in the
symposium program. We are interested in topics related to size and
species selectivity of commercial fishing gears used in the marine
environment and performance of survey fishing gears used in fish stock
and ecological assessments. Please send your submission to Dr. Pingguo
He ([log in to unmask]) before Feb. 23, 2005. You will be informed of
the decision by Feb. 25, 2005. The submission should contain:
Author's name (s) indicating presenting author with an * if more than
one author
Affiliation and address
Email address
Title of the presentation
Form of presentation: oral ___, poster ____, will consider poster if
oral presentation is not available ___
Abstract (draft is fine. Final draft will need to be submitted online
via AFS website as indicated above).
Once accepted, you will be required to submit an abstract via AFS
website: http://portaltools.fisheries.org/2005Abs/abinsertform.cfm
before March 4, 2004.
