Every so often it comes to my attention that some FISH-SCI subscribers may not get all the mail because of filters on their mail systems. I just posted a message about the new journal IJBS which was rejected by at least two systems, DFW.WA.GOV and GUAM.UOG.EDU, which affects ten subscribers. I don't know what can be done about this, but I just want to alert subscribers that not all mail gets through. This is a problem we have had in the past with mail servers all over the globe.
I will also remind subscribers to set their accounts to NOMAIL if they activate a vacation program. Whenever I post to the list I get half a dozen to a dozen automatic replies from people i don't know (this happens with other lists too). It is an annoyance and very unfair to those who post to the list. If you send the message
SET FISH-SCI NOMAIL
to [log in to unmask] your mail service will be suspended until you send the message
SET FISH-SCI MAIL
to the same address.
