Dear members
I would like to draw your attention to the recently finised EU project
FAME we have been coordinating the last three years entitled:
Development, Evaluation and Implementation of a Standardised Fish-based
Assessment Method for the Ecological Status of European Rivers. A
Contribution to the Water Framework Directive (EVK1-CT-2001-00094, 23
partners, 11 countries)
Besides others we have developed the "European Fish Index" enabling the
assessment of the ecological status of rivers in accordance with the
Water Framework Directive in most of European ecoregions. The index
software and manual as well as other results can be downloaded from our
web site
