RE: Education about fish...
Some years ago (like about twenty five) The New England Journal of
Medicine reported a strange coincidence of parasitic worms crawling out of
people on the operating table in (I think) four completely separate
incidents, all about the same time. The only thing they had in common was
that in all the cases, the patients were recreational fishermen who had
recently swallowed their live bait (small fish) on a dare from their
buddies. Alcohol or no, swallowing live goldfish could be almost as
dangerous for the swallower as for the swallowee.
