I have two Fisheries Technology students (high school, advanced) interested in carrying out a short-term study of cryptic coloration in captive Prickly (Cottus asper) and Coast Range Sculpins (C. aleuticus). We have been discussing coloration response to various stimuli.

Any experimental study set-up ideas or how-to thoughts would be much appreciated, as well as any literature references for ideas or background.

Thanks
Lee
