Hi Randy,
I can't comment on your original question about Jennings et al as I haven't
used it, but I can recommend King (1995)

King M (1995) Fisheries Biology, Assessment and Management. Fishing News
Books, Oxford

It's a pretty simple text with lots of good worked examples

Enrique,

Thanks for replying and your suggestions. However, I am looking for texts
specifically on fishery science/biology. The students will already have
taken marine biology/oceanography. What they need is a general
understanding of fish ecology, fishery assessment, and fishery management.
Let me know if you want me to tell you what I end up finding out.

Regards,

Randy
