Dear members:
Where do you think a good place would be to advertise that I am looking to
begin work on a PhD in aquatic sciences? I have been looking all over ASLO,
IAGLR, AFS, and other websites and all I find are a few
assistantships/fellowships available here and there. I was hoping that
there would be a similar page where prospective students could "advertise"
their qualifications and interests so that possible advisers could contact
them if they had a project that fits well. It seems like it would be a good
situation for everyone if possible candidates could not only search for PhD
positions, but be searched for as well. I wanted to start work on my PhD
before taking my current position, but could not find a good fit anywhere.
Perhaps you all have some advice for when I begin searching again? I
suspect that this type of information would be of interest to any members in
academia.
