Folks,

I am being overrun by email, and I am sure you are too -- and here I am
just adding to the problem.

However, I would like to suggest that all these people who are searching
for a copy of an article, specific information, or email address do us all
a big favor.

Please explicitly state, in your message subject line the article (info,
or address) that you are seeking. For example, your subject would read
something like: "Seeking copy of Jones et al., 1995. Tuna taxonomy..."

That way, the rest of us could delete the message if we can't help, or
would know instantly if we can help. Otherwise, there is a tendency to
just delete all such request no matter if we can help or not.

It would help if we knew that you had already done your best to find the
article or information on your own, including on-line searches, previously
contacting individuals who might have it, and checking with library
sources available to you.

Also, it would be useful for us to know the reason for your request,
because it makes a big difference if you critically need the information
for an ongoing project or publication, or if you are just a bibliophile
who wants to have copies of everything in your line of interests.

Just some suggestions -- please feel free to weigh in if you agree or
disagree with them,
