The University of Iceland offers three PhD Fellowships within the
Division of Applied Mathematics at
the Science Institute.
One of these is on "random effects in statistical multispecies models", under
the direction of Prof. Gunnar Stefansson. The successful candidate will
work on developing nonlinear random effect models and estimation
procedures in the context of multispecies population dynamics in the
marine environment.
The deadline for applications for fall semester, 2008 is April 15.
