You should contact the Indian Ocean Tuna Commission. Web Site:
http://www.iotc.org.
They coordinate cooperative research among all member countries, including
Oman. They may have useful statistics on their web site, and you could
contact the authors of their scientific reports for additional information.
They will be having a commission meeting in Muscat Oman in June 2008. If
you have not already done so, I suggest you contact the Marine Science and
Fisheries Center in Muscat.
Regarding information about tunas in Oman. Please remember that most tunas
are highly migratory. Tuna in Oman are also swimming all over the area into
Iran, Yemen, India, other countries. Statistics for just Oman and Iran may
not be sufficient.

i want some information about fish data collection system in oman and iran
either the current system and any suggestion of you have in your mind.
also, i want to ask you about ,what are the biological data of fish requried
for management the stock or population size for any fisheries and why we
need these data?
i want some information about tuna fisheries in oman ?
