I have received an e-mail from R. Verkamman, of Arnemuiden in the
Netherlands, who was a fisherman on the Dutch beamtrawl fleet until
forced out by the industry by an injury. He is now trying to gather a
collection of DVDs of fishing methods. I don't have anything to send
him but perhaps some members of Fish-Sci do.
He has asked to be contacted via e-mail at [log in to unmask]
but, if anyone has or knows of anything suitable, I'd be glad to hear
of it too. The standard textbooks of (commercial) fishing gear and
methods are getting old, while they never could show what a video
format can.
