Position Title: Two M.S. Graduate Research Assistantships in Fisheries
Population Dynamics
Agency/Location: Department of Fisheries and Wildlife, Virginia Tech,
Blacksburg, VA.
Responsibilities: Conduct population dynamics and stock assessment
research on weakfish or black sea bass-like fisheries of the
Mid-Atlantic.
Qualifications: B.S. in fisheries, ecology, statistics, or related
field. The incumbents must have a strong quantitative interest and
background, including multiple courses in both calculus and statistics.
Stipend: Each Assistantship covers tuition and a competitive stipend for
the full length of the degree.
Closing Date: 30 April 2008 or until filled. Review begins immediately.
