There are three available seats for an in-house course at CSL in York, UK


Subjects: Data exploration, regression, GLM & GAM
(Gaussian, Poisson, Binomial, and time allowing: negative binomial)


A 5 day regression, GLM and GAM course in York, UK.

When: Monday 12 May until Friday 16 May 2008.
Where: Central Science Laboratory in York

There are 3 seats available as part of an in-house course at CSL, York.
Course: "Analysing Biological and Environmental Data -Using 
univariate methods-".

Open to: Anyone. This is a non-technical course for biologists. 
Pre-required statistical knowledge: Basic statistics (Normal 
distribution, p-value, hypothesis testing, mean, variance, etc.).

Price: 650 GBP (+ 17.5% VAT).
Outline: Monday: Data exploration. Tuesday: Linear regression (model 
selection, model validation, interaction). Wednesday: generalised 
linear modelling (Poisson and binomial). Thursday: Generalised 
additive modelling (Gaussian, Poisson and binomial). Friday: Catching 
up & negative binomial GLMs and GAMs (time allowing).
