4th International Symposium on GIS/Spatial analyses in Fishery and Aquatic Sciences
(Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Aug. 25-29, 2008)

Dear Colleagues,
(1) Today is the last day of the the registration and abstracts submission. Many participants requested us to extend the deadline due to time needed for the administrative, financial, payment process and/or to compete the abstracts.
(2) To help these requests we will extend the final deadline to June 20(Fri). After this date we will not accept any more abstracts and will charge the late registration fee (US$400).
(3) When you contact us please indicate your registration number for smooth communication.
(4) (important) If you have sent us your registration, but you had not yet received your registration number, please re-send it again and get the registration number from us because without the registration number you can not attend the Symposium.
If you send only abstracts and/or payment information you can not get the registration number. You need to send us the formal registration details to get your number. For details refer to our web site [ see (8) below].
(5) Those who submitted abstracts and wish to contribute the full paper for “GIS/Spatial analyses in Fishery and Aquatic Sciences (Volume 4) (Fishery GIS textbook series)”, please follow the guideline. For details of the guideline refer to our web site at http://www.esl.co.jp/Sympo/4th/New%20guidelines.pdf. The deadline of the full paper is September 30, 2008.

(6) Please reserve your rooms in one of 4 hotels reserved for the Symposium along the Copacabana beach. If you want to save the accommodation cost, we will arrange to share the large room with other participants. In such case please contact Ms Dina Mavropoulos B. Villar, Director, Metropol Tourism (Symposium travel agent in Brazil) (see the announcement for details).
(7) Please also check if you need the visa to enter Brazil.
