Many studies have been carried out on prehistoric fish bone assemblages all
over the word - presumably you are looking for hunter-gatherer cultures of
the mesolithic?
Richard G Cooke has undertaken many analyses in tropical regions so you may
want to look up some of his literature. (

)
Here is another paper that may be of some help.
A Middle Archaic Archaeological Site on the West Coast of Mexico

If you are still stuck, put a request out on the zooarch mailing list (
[log in to unmask]) where some other fish bone specialists should be
able to answer you.
